What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support is a systematic approach focusing, teaching and supporting appropriate school behavior for all students in the school. It is a proactive approach to school-wide discipline. The result is a continuum of all students, in which:

The students of Jane Ryan Elementary School are taught the appropriate behaviors and the school’s expectations in the hallways, media center, cafeteria, bus, restrooms, office, assemblies, art, music, PE, and in their classrooms. They also learn about the Six Pillars of Character: Caring, Responsibility, Respect, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, and Fairness.
