Scouts at Jane Ryan

Pack 64 is comprised of boys in grades first-fifth who attend Jane Ryan. We have 41 boys enrolled in our pack. Since its origin, the Scouting program has been an educational experience focused on values and service to others. In 1910, the first activities for Scouts were designed to build character, physical fitness, practical skills, and service. These elements were part of the original Cub Scout program and continue to be part of Cub Scouting today. We adhere to the 12 points of the Scout Law throughout all elements of our scout program—service projects, enrichment, games, skits, crafts, and all the other activities enjoyed at den and pack meetings.  Recent pack meeting speakers have included local authors and illustrators, the Trumbull High School Robotics team, Boothe Hill Astronomical Society, Trumbull K-9 Unit, Sam’s Kids Founder, and Bridgeport Police Dive Team.

Our pack runs a Pinewood Derby and Water Rocket Derby in addition to two campouts per year – outside at Lime Rock racetrack in September and an indoor campout at a unique location designed to give the scouts an experience they won’t receive anywhere else.  Recent one of a kind overnight campouts have included The Intrepid Air and Space Museum in NYC, the Museum of Natural History, the CT Science Center in Hartford, CT, and Mystic Aquarium.  Our 2018 overnight will be at Beardsley Zoo in March.  For more information about cub scouts at Jane Ryan, please email Cubmaster Jennifer Kane at
